After Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra highlighted on Twitter the issue of visa for Odisha’s javelin thrower Kishore Jena for participating in the World Athletics Championships 2023 in Budapest, foreign minister S Jaishankar intervened to ensure the athlete was granted visa by the Hungarian embassy. According to official sources, Jaishankar immediately instructed MEA officials to urgently take up the matter with the Hungarian embassy in New Delhi.
