Samsung has finally launched its latest Fan Edition smartphones — Galaxy S23 FE — in India. As the name implies, it is based on the latest Galaxy S23 series and brings some of the flagship-grade features to an affordable price bracket.
This includes the upgraded 50MP triple rear camera setup, Nightography, better OIS support, Adaptive refresh rate and most importantly flagship-like performance.
Samsung has mentioned that they’ve mainly focused on offering consistent performance, better camera quality and display with the smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy S23FE: Price and availability
Samsung has announced the Galaxy S23FE in three colour options — Graphite, Mint and Purple. The handset will be available for purchase via Samsung.com and Amazon India website starting October 5 and the deliveries are set to start on October 7.
The phone comes in two variants — 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and are priced at Rs 59,999 and Rs 64,999 respectively. However, Samsung is offering discounts on purchase of the phone and it can be purchased for as low as Rs 49,999 and Rs 54,999 respectively after the bank cashback, upgrade bonus. Additionally, customers can also get the phone with no-cost EMI of up to 24 months.
Apart from these, customers can purchase the Galaxy S23 FE during Samsung Live event today (October 4) at noon and get the Silicon Case worth Rs 2,399.
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE: Features
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is equipped with a 6.4-inch dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120Hz refresh rate where the phone can automatically switch between 60Hz and 120Hz depending on the content. The phone also features Vision Booster technology for better outdoor visibility.
Samsung has also updated the camera on the Galaxy S23 FE compared to the previous Galaxy S21FE. The handset now features a 50MP primary sensor with 12MP ultra wide sensor and 8MP 3x optical zoom with OIS support.
Samsung for the first time has introduced the Nightography technology with its Fan Edition phone. Samsung has also included the Camera Assistant app with the phone to offer better control and customisation over the camera.
In terms of performance, the Galaxy S23FE is powered by Exynos 2200 chip with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. It’s an octa-core chip based on a 4nm process. Keeping the gaming needs in mind, Galaxy S23 FE also comes with a larger vapour chamber.
The phone is backed by a 4500mAh battery with 25W fast charging support and it runs One UI 5.1 on top of Android 13 operating system.
