NEW DELHI: Karnataka minister Dinesh Gundu Rao on Friday said the Siddramaiah government will review the move by the previous BJP government to give government land to institutions and organisations closely connected to the sangh parivar.
“Hundreds of acres of government land in the state have been transferred in the name of RSS and Sangh Parivar affiliated organisations,” the minister said at a press conference.
“We have to look at all those things, see if they have been done properly, legally and what we can do on those issues,” the state health and family welfare minister added.
When asked if steps have already been taken by the Siddaramaiah government, Gundu Rao said “It should happen at the government level where the revenue department and the chief minister have to see what has happened and how it has happened. They have to decide after seeing whether it has been done lawfully and for what price it has been allotted because these are all legal matters.”
The minister also said that a few tenders issued by the BJP government have been cancelled while others will be looked into.
