The current security situation in J&K was “better than” that of Bengal, J&K LG Manoj Sinha said in Kolkata on Friday, before quickly amending his statement. “My remarks should not be twisted politically, as I meant to say that the security situation in Kashmir is as good as in Bengal,” he said. TMC, however, reacted sharply, with its leader Kunal Ghosh saying Sinha should “maintain the dignity of his chair” instead of making such “distorted claims”.
