AYODHYA: As many as 5,000 police personnel along with four teams of commandos from the National Security Guards (NSG) will stand guard during PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Ayodhya on Saturday.
The PM’s aircraft will leave for New Delhi around 2.15pm. The UP government has deputed three officers of deputy inspector general of police rank to supervise security arrangements in Ayodhya during the PM’s visit.Six companies of Central Paramilitary Forces have reached the temple town.
A senior officer at the DGP headquarters said that as many as 2,000 police constables will reach the district on Friday, while 14 companies of PAC have been deployed in the district. Besides, 17 superintendents of police, 40 additional SPs and 82 circle officers along with 90 inspectors will be deployed. A separate team of traffic policemen, comprising 75 personnel, will be deployed for regulating traffic.
