BHOPAL: Union home minister Amit Shah tore into Congress and Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday, saying those of “Italy origin” will not understand the development carried out by PM Narendra Modi.
“Congress would dare us to tell the date on which we would start the construction of the Ram mandir. When I was BJP president, Rahul Baba used to mock us with the slogan ‘Mandir wahi banayenge, par tithi nahi batayenge’.We started construction, finished it and have declared the date when it will be consecrated. Now what have you got to say,” Shah said in Junnardeo constituency in Chhindwara, the bastion of MP Congress chief Kamal Nath.
“Now, Rahul Baba should go and bow to Lord Ram,” Shah said.”Whether it is building the Ram temple, abrogating Article 370, ending triple talaq, conducting the surgical strike and air strike, Chandrayaan, building the new Parliament or giving women 33% reservation, Modiji has left no stone unturned to enhance the pride of the nation,” Shah said.
The home minister is on a three-day tour of poll-bound MP.
Only three families call the shots in the MP Congress, Shah said. “They are the Digvijaya Singh family, the Kamal Nath family and the Gandhi family. The directions are given by the Gandhi and Kamal Nath families, but the responsibility of failure is heaped on Bantadhar Digvijaya Singh,” Shah said.
This year, the people of MP will celebrate three Diwalis, he said, adding: “The first Diwali is the one we celebrate every year. The second Diwali will be held on the victory of BJP in Madhya Pradesh. The third will be when Modi-ji will consecrate Lord Ram in the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.”
