Apple Sports app shows real-time scores, stats, and news updates; customizable scoreboards to follow favourite teams; play-by-play details, team stats, and lineups; links to live games in compatible streaming apps; and real-time betting odds, which can be disabled.
Users can customise scoreboards, view play-by-play details, check lineups and stats, and even jump to live game streams in compatible apps through the Apple Sports app. Apple Sports currently supports the NBA, NHL, MLS, Premier League, LaLiga, and NCAA basketball, among other leagues. Upcoming support will be added for MLB, NFL, NCAA football, NWSL and WNBA when their seasons begin.
“We created Apple Sports to give fans an incredibly fast way to follow the teams they love,” said Apple’s Eddy Cue. “The app makes it easy for users to stay on top of leagues and games that matter most to them.”
Apple Sports is available starting today as a free download from the iOS App Store in the US, Canada and UK. It requires iOS 17.2 or later. Additional language support is included where available.
