Canada-based designated terrorist, Arshdeep Singh Gill alias Arsh Dalla, has claimed responsibility for the killing of Punjab Congress leader Baljinder Singh Balli who was shot dead at his house in Moga on Monday.
Dalla, a member of the KTF, is a close associate of Hardeep Singh Nijjar. He had recently orchestrated the beheading of a Hindu man in Delhi. Monday’s murder took place when Balli was getting a haircut at home. He received a call from a man requesting signing of some documents and came to the door when the assailant bumped into him and shot him.
In a Facebook post, Dalla claimed that Balli had ruined his future and forced him into the world of crime. Alleging that the Congress leader was behind the persecution of his family by the local police, Dalla said that the acts inspired him to plot the killing and send in his henchmen.
