RANCHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has again issued a summons to Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren for questioning him on August 24 at its regional office here, regarding the properties acquired by him and his family members, sources in the central agency said on Saturday.
The second summons came after the CM did not appear the first time when he was asked to face questions in the matter on August 14. Instead, he told the central agency to withdraw the summons or face legal action.
The sources said Soren is likely to be quizzed on the alleged acquisition of “benami” properties by him and his family members. ED sleuths, however, did not make any official comments on the development.
