The agency had issued fresh summons to Soren last week asking him to confirm his availability for questioning on either January 29 or January 31.Soren had sent a communication to the ED but had not confirmed the date and time for questioning, news agency PTI said quoting sources.
Officials of the federal probe agency accompanied by Delhi Police personnel reached the 5/1 Shanti Niketan building in South Delhi around 9 am, while a number of press photographers, reporters and camera teams stood outside. However, the Jharkhand chief minister was not present at his residence.

ED had recorded the statement of Soren for the first time in the case on January 20 after 7-hour long questioning at his official residence in Ranchi. The investigation pertains to a “huge racket of illegal change of ownership of land by the mafia” in Jharkhand, according to the agency.
The ED has, so far, arrested 14 people in the case, including 2011-batch IAS officer Chhavi Ranjan who served as the director of the state’s Social Welfare Department and deputy commissioner of Ranchi.
Security beefed up at Raj Bhavan, CM House in Ranchi
Security was tightened at the CM House, Raj Bhavan and central government offices in Jharkhand capital Ranchi as reports came in of Enforcement Directorate team’s visit to the Delhi residence of chief minister Hemant Soren.
Soren was scheduled to be present at an event in Chaibasa on January 29, in Palamu on January 30, and in Giridih on January 31.
