NEW DELHI: A Hawk trainer aircraft belonging to the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed during a training sortie in Kalaikunda, West Bengal on Tuesday. Both pilots managed to eject safely, according to a Defence official.
The crash took place in a civilian area near the Kalaikunda Air Force Station between 4 pm and 5 pm, as the aircraft was returning from the training session.The plane had taken off from Air Force Station Kalaikunda, which is mainly used as a training base.
