Jio Bharat phone | Reliance Jio launches Jio Bharat Phone, Rs 999 Price, Unlimited Calls, and 14GB Data at Rs 123 Monthly | – Times of India

Reliance Jio has launched the cheapest internet-enabled phone in India — JioBharat phone. The all-new Jio Bharat phone is priced at Rs 999, claimed to be the lowest entry price for an internet-enabled phone.
JioBharat phone specifications and features
The Jio Bharat phone comes with a camera and FM Radio. The JioBharat phone will come with JioCinema and JioSaavn preinstalled. According to the company, JioSaavn will have 8 crore-plus songs in multiple languages. The phone will support UPI Payments with JioPay. It also has a torch built-in.
The JioBharat phone sports 1.77-inch QVGA TFT screen. It has a removable 1000mAh battery. The phone comes with a Jio SIM locked, which means that it will work only with Jio SIM card. There are three pre-installed Jio apps available in the device’s menu: JioCinema, JioSaavn and JioPay, a UPI-based digital payments app. Users will be able to make UPI payments using the JioPay app. It also features a 3.5mm headphone jack, users can expand the device’s storage capacity by inserting an SD card of up to 128GB.
Jio Bharat phone: Beta trial and data plan
According to the company, beta trials for the first 1 million Jio Bharat phones will start from July 7, 2023 onwards. The company has also launched a special plan for the phone that starts at Rs 123. The 123 per month plan offers unlimited voice calls and 14GB data.
“There are still 250 million mobile phone users in India who remain ‘trapped’ in the 2G era, unable to tap into basic features of the internet at a time when the world stands at the cusp of a 5G revolution,” said Akash Ambani, chairman, Reliance Jio, on the launch of the JioBharat phone.
