NAGPUR: Maharashtra Congress MLA Sunil Kedar, who was disqualified following his conviction in the Rs 150-crore Nagpur District Central Cooperative Bank (NDCCB) scam, was sent to jail on Thursday evening. Kedar, who complained of acute migraine and chest pain after a magistrate court’s verdict on December 22, was under treatment at the Government Medical College and Hospital here, reports Sarfaraz Ahmed
Kedar’s lawyers could not secure bail on the third day of his plea before a sessions court on Thursday.Kedar was declared medically fit by the hospital authorities and was moved to the Nagpur Central Jail. The sessions court has now fixed December 30 as the date to deliver verdict on his bail plea.
