NEW DELHI: The Monsoon session of Parliament will take place from July 20 to August 11, 2023, Union minister Pralhad Joshi said on Saturday.
According to Parliamentary sources, sittings will begin in the old Parliament building and move to the new one midway. The new Parliament building was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 28.
The nearly month-long monsoon session is likely to have 20 sittings.
During the Monsoon session, the NDA government may introduce a bill on implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
Earlier this week, PM Modi made a fresh pitch for UCC at a rally in Bhopal, evoking criticism from the opposition, which has claimed it was ‘polarisation’ tactics.
Opposition parties are also gearing up to take on the government on a host of issues.
