NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday attacked the fearmongers who opposed the construction of the grand Ram Temple and questioned the existence of Lord Ram and invited sceptics to visit Ayodhya and feel positive energy of the Lord.
“There were some who used to fearmonger and say that if Ram Temple is built in Ayodhya it will lead to crisis.I urge them to visit Ayodhya and feel the energy here,” PM Modi said in his address after performing the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the sanctum sanctorum of the newly-constructed grand Ram Temple.
“Lord Ram is not fire, but energy. Ram is not the problem, but the solution. He is not just the present, but is ever-lasting,” PM Modi said.
“This is a temple of national consciousness in the form of Lord Ram. Ram is the faith of India, Ram is the foundation of India. Ram is the idea of India, Ram is the law of India. Ram is the prestige of India. Ram is the glory of India. Ram is the leader and Ram is the policy. Ram is eternal. When Ram is honoured, its effect does not last for years or centuries, its effect is for thousands of years,” the Prime Minister added.
Several opposition parties stayed away from the consecration ceremony alleging that the BJP and the RSS had politicised the event for electoral gains.
