Notably, in the 2019 elections, the BJP secured 303 seats on its own and, along with its NDA allies, won a total of 353 seats. While in the 2014 elections, the BJP alone won 282 seats and the NDA collectively secured 336 seats.

This was decided in a meeting today which was chaired by national president JP Nadda, and was attended by prominent party members including Union ministers Bhupendra Yadav and Ashwini Vaishnaw, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and general secretaries Tarun Chugh and Sunil Bansal – marking a crucial juncture in the party’s preparatory efforts for the this year’s polls.
In addition to the slogan, the meeting, which went on for more than 2 hours, also focused on organizational strategies. The party has also decided convenors and co-convenors at the State Assembly and Lok Sabha levels.
Further intensifying its campaign efforts, the party announced that tours by prominent leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, home minister, defence minister, and BJP president JP Nadda in Lok Sabha clusters will commence shortly.
This strategy, stemming from the “cluster-making formula” discussed in the last BJP office-bearers meeting attended by PM Modi, is aimed at maximizing the party’s electoral outreach.
Approximately 150 party functionaries attended the meeting, underlining the BJP’s concerted effort to not only retain power in the upcoming elections but also to significantly expand its parliamentary strength.
