Well, according to the Guinness World Records website, there is a Japanese ice cream brand called Cellato that sells the most expensive ice cream of the world. And as per the GWR website, the price of this ice cream costs more than what a family holiday would cost.

Why it is so expensive?
As per news reports, the ice cream named ‘Byakuya’ is made from rare ingredients that include edible gold leaf, white truffle, Parmigiano Reggiano and sake lees. The ice cream has been created by Tadayoshi Yamada, who is the head chef at Rivi, and was specially called as he is known for his imaginative fusion cuisine.

How much does it cost?
According to GWR, a single serving of this delicious ice cream costs a whopping 873,400 Japanese yen, which is more than 5 lakh INR, in which a person can easily buy a secondhand car.

The taste
the ice cream has a robust fragrance of white truffle that fills your mouth and nose, followed by complex and fruity tastes of Parmigiano Reggiano. Sake lees finishes off the glorious taste experience.
As per various reports, a representative of the ice cream brand Cellato said, “It took us over 1.5 years to develop, with a lot of trials and errors to get the taste right. Achieving a Guinness World Records title made the effort all worth it.”
